Role and Responsibilities

  • Improvement and development of the drone drive train, mechanical and structural parts
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) / 3-D modelling
  • Creating technical drawings
  • Testing of components and sub-systems
  • Support testing of the complete drone system
  • Root cause problem solving
  • Technical documentation according to aviation standards
  • Mechanical assembly of parts and components for testing
  • Managing component and sub-system suppliers
  • Taking over sub-system design responsibility
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of SwissDrones processes and procedures

Your Profile

  • Solid technical education, e.g. formation as poly mechanic, formation as aircraft mechanic (Lehre als Polymechaniker/in, Lehre als Luftfahrzeugmechaniker/in) or equivalent
  • Further education, e.g. engineering school as technician in mechanical engineering or system engineering or equivalent (Fachhochschule in Maschinenbau oder Fachhochschule in Systemtechnik oder ähnlich)
  • Solid experience in one of the major CAD programs
  • Solid experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, assembly and testing
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience with Microsoft office 365-Suite
  • Can-do attitude
  • High degree of flexibility and working in a dynamic and growing company
  • Willingness to solve problems
  • Team player
  • Work experience in an EASA Part21 environment is a plus
  • Experience of working in a high quality and safety requirements environment is a plus, e.g., aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals or similar
